ANDREW CURD

Qualifications: CrossFit Level 1
Favourite movement: I love pairing up weightlifting with a higher skill gymnastic movement.
Favourite workout: Amanda or Elizabeth.

How long have you been doing CrossFit and how did you get started?
Between 5-6 years. I used to train at globo style gyms prior to this but became complacent and bored and wanted to branch out into a different way of training. I'd watched the 'Redeemed and Dominant' documentary and googled Crossfit gyms near me. The rest, as they say, is history.

What made you want to start coaching and what do you enjoy about it?
I don't think there was one specific thing that made me want to start coaching, it just felt like a natural progression for me. I love watching someone have that 'lightbulb moment' after a great cue.

What are you most passionate about in terms of fitness coaching?
Movement mechanics and consistency.

What do you want people thinking of starting CrossFit to know?
Give it a go, if you stick around long enough it might just change your life for the better!
