CrossFit

A typical CrossFit class, known as a "WOD", starts with a warm-up, before moving onto Skill/Strength Training. The heart of the class is the timed or scored WOD, a mix of exercises varying in intensity. Finally, a cool-down period of stretching for recovery and injury prevention.

Flexibility & Mobility

Our 1-hour flexibility and mobility class targets range of motion, joint flexibility, and movement quality. Tailored for all fitness levels, it boosts performance, prevents injuries, and improves form. Ideal for athletes, injury recovery, and anyone seeking enhanced movement and well-being.

Weightlifting

Our weightlifting class, targets improved techniques, strength, and power. It sharpens proficiency in Olympic weightlifting like snatch and clean and jerk, enhancing overall athleticism and strength. Unlike general CrossFit, it focuses solely on the skills essential for Olympic weightlifting.

Gymnastics

Our gymnastics classes enhance functional strength, mobility, and coordination through bodyweight exercises inspired by traditional gymnastics. Suitable for all fitness levels, the focus is on improving core strength, balance, flexibility, and body control for mastering CrossFit movements like handstands, pull-ups, muscle-ups and fostering fluid sequences.

Open Gym

An open gym session at a CrossFit Longacre is a designated time when members have the opportunity to use the gym facilities to work on their fitness goals independently. Unlike a structured class, an open gym session allows participants to create their own workouts, practice skills, and perform exercises of their choice.

Friday Night Lights!

"Friday Night Lights" at CrossFit Longacre is a popular class that differs from the usual Friday WOD. Working in pairs to complete a slightly more challenging but still scalable workout, its a super fun and social end to the week that is often followed by a trip to the pub!

Team WOD

CrossFit Longacre's Team WOD fosters group collaboration with shared effort, often emphasising synchronised movements. Unlike individual WODs, this format promotes camaraderie, teamwork, and adds a social element to the CrossFit experience.

On Ramp

New to CrossFit? Start with our Longacre ‘On Ramp’ course—a two-session, 1-hour each, small group instruction to master foundational movements. Personal 1-2-1 options are available. Learn essential techniques in Gymnastics and Olympic Weightlifting to ensure a safe and confident transition to regular classes.

“IT’S WOD O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE!”
