WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a high-intensity fitness training program that combines elements of various disciplines, including weightlifting, cardio, gymnastics, and functional movements. CrossFit workouts, referred to as "WODs" (Workout of the Day), are typically varied and can include a mix of exercises such as weightlifting, running, jumping, rowing and bodyweight movements.

CrossFit is known for its emphasis on functional movements, which are exercises that mimic everyday activities and help improve overall fitness and practical strength. Workouts are designed to be intense and challenging, with the goal of improving an individual's fitness level across multiple domains rather than specialising in one particular area.

One of the defining aspects of CrossFit is its sense of community and camaraderie. Many CrossFit gyms create a supportive environment where members often work out together, encourage each other, and compete in a friendly manner.
